Howard Kenneth Hammond, Sr., 82, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Baltimore on March 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Corbin N. and Elveretta Merryman Hammond. His wife, Elsie M. Fondelheit Hammond, died December 24, 2008.
He was a member of the Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by a son, Howard K. Hammond, Jr. of Crisfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Corbin N. Hammond in 1991. He was the last surviving of his brothers and sisters.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Matt Boldizsar will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
