HILDA ELIZABETH TYLER, 99, of Rhodes Point, Smith Island, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne.
Born on Rhodes Point on May 3, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Amanda Hoffman Bradshaw. Her husband, J. Clinton Tyler, preceded her in death October 12, 1987.
She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church on Rhodes Point where she played piano and organ for many years. She was also a member of the former Daughters of America Lodge on Smith Island.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Davey Lee and Joanne Tyler of Hendersonville, NC, Shirley Ann and Reese Bradshaw of Dundalk, MD, and Donna Maxine and Phillip Evans of Ewell, MD; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Tim and Ellen Tyler, Lisa Tyler, Denise Guyse, Dawn Bradshaw and Dan Amenta, Stephanie and Brian Brown, Duane and Kathleen Evans, Dean and Shannon Evans, and Danielle and Mark Bozman; eight great-grandchildren, Frankie Dellaterza, Kim Sandowski, Brian Amenta, Tyler Brown, Zac Brown, Carly Evans, Cassidy Evans and Douglas Bozman; two great-great-grandsons, Brandon and Dominic Dellaterza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Harold and Charles Bradshaw; two sisters, Louise Evans and Lela Sneade; and one great-grandson, Kyle Brown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 2 PM at Calvary U. M. Church on Rhodes Point. The Rev. Rick Edmund will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10-11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield and from 7-9 PM at the church.
