Helen Elizabeth Tomko passed away at her home in Princess Anne on January 14, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1955 in Dundalk, Maryland.
Helen graduated from Patapsco High School in 1974 and went on to work at the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore and then Lankford-Sysco in Pocomoke, Maryland. Upon her retirement, she became the full time caregiver for her parents until their passing. She was a communicant at St. Elizabeth Church in Westover, Maryland.
Helen loved collecting I Love Lucy, Disney and Betty Boop memorabilia. She was an avid fan of the Orioles and Ravens and had an enormous collection of team souvenirs and apparel. Her signature color was purple.
Helen and her Mom were awarded twice for their crab recipes at the Crisfield Crab Derby competition. She loved Crisfield and made many friends there over the years, especially at the American Legion.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Helen Tomko. She is survived by her siblings,
Paul Edward Tomko, Jr., John Tomko and Mary Bernadette Nauman, along with many nieces and nephews.
At her request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
