Helen Faye Saltz, 75, of Crisfield, died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. Ward and Fannie Landon Ward. She was co-owner with her husband, William C. Saltz, of the former Saltz Furniture Stores in Crisfield for many years.
She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Crisfield where she was active in the Ever Ready Sunday School Class, soup ministry, Easter Egg Fund Raiser., and food pantry. Recently she had been attending the Mariners United Methodist Church in Crisfield.
She was devoted to her family and loved her home and gardening.
Surviving besides her husband William, are two daughters, Rhea E. Walston and Phyllis F. Saltz, both of Crisfield; sister, Neva Rae Howard and husband, Arthur of Marion Station; brother, Howard W. Ward and wife Ellen of Crisfield; Special Aunt, Carolyn Gunter of Crisfield; grandchildren, Trever Coons and wife, Dawn of Durham, NC, Jason Coons and wife Alison of Salisbury, and Jay Walston and wife Mindy of Crisfield; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Adriana, Annah, Brooke, and Amanda; nieces, Ellen Dize, Joyce Morgan; nephews, Don Howard and Billy Ward and all their families of Crisfield; and many other special family members.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. The Rev. Jeff James and Rev. Berry McCready will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park near Crisfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7-9 PM.
