Helen T. Landon, 97, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on October 8, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Carrie Tyler.
Her husband, Thomas Oscar Landon, Sr., preceded her in death on December 24, 1999.

A graduate of Crisfield High School and Salisbury State College, she was a retired school teacher with Somerset County Schools.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She loved to talk about her family, she loved playing cards, and she had a great love for teaching school.

She is survived by a sister, Edna Jane Daly of Seaford, DE; a cousin, Anna Lewis of Crisfield; several nieces and nephews; and two very special friends, Chalky and Regina Goldsborough of Crisfield.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas O. Landon, Jr. on October 9, 2007.

Graveside funeral services officiated by Pastor Todd Hurley will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11 AM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
