Harriett Anna Nelson King, 95, of Richmond and formerly of Crisfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

Anna was a loving mother, mother-in-law, wife and friend. She was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain family and friends at her home in Sandston where she lived for over 60 years. She was loved by many friends living and past. She enjoyed gardening and had beautiful roses all around her home.

She was an employee of Henrico County Public Schools Food Service Administration and was a very active member of Corinth United Methodist Church, Sandston where she was a Sunday School teacher and Joy Club leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman King; parents, Ralph and Marion Ward Nelson; and sister, Iantha.

She is survived by children, Larry David King of London, England and Dale Nelson King and wife, Cindy of Stephens City, VA; sister, Gloria Jean Thomas of Crisfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 22, from 2:30 to 3 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield, MD on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1 PM.  The Rev. Sumner Jones will officiate the graveside service.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local hospice.
