Obituary

PRINCESS ANNE

HAROLD CHELTON POWERS, 49, of Princess Anne and formerly of Ewell, Smith Island, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Camden, New Jersey on January 23, 1957, he was the son of the late Harold White Powers and the late Shirley Jane Evans Stewart.

He was a self-employed waterman who was an avid outdoorsman. He liked to hunt and fish, and enjoyed giving away his catch to people in need. He also taught many people how to duck hunt. Most of all, he loved his family very much.

He was a member of Ewell United Methodist Church on Smith Island, and he attended the Christian Life Center in Princess Anne for the past two years.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Foreman Powers of Crisfield; his daughter, Victoria Powers of Crisfield; his sister, Lonna Layne of Princess Anne; his niece, Michelle Mullican and her husband Hugh B. Mullican, III of Princess Anne; and his nephew, Hugh "Lil Bud" Mullican, IV of Princess Anne.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther Chelton Evans and Rachel Jane Evans.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where the family will receive friends one hour prior. The Rev. Dorsey Marshall will officiate.
