Obituary

G. B. "Pete" Howard, 74, of Westover, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his home.

Born in Pocomoke City on October 30, 1937, he was a son of the late Granville and Pauline Colona Howard.

He was a veteran of the US Army 82nd Airborne Division and was a life-long poultry farmer.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, but most of all working. Even though it was his job, farming was his biggest hobby.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Price Howard; two children, Pat Davis and husband Keith, and Jeff Howard, all of Westover; a sister, Patsy DiMattio of Pocomoke City; three grandchildren, Kolby Noble and husband Nathan of Princess Anne, Kortney Davis of Westover, and "Jesse Pete" Howard of Westover; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Kennedy Noble; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Theresa Howard; a brother, Jerry Howard; and his Godson, J. R. Travers.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior.
