Gorman Abbott, 71, of Crisfield, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014.
Born in Crisfield September 2, 1943, Gorman was the son of Monnie & Amy Abbott.
A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1963, Gorman worked many years at Mrs. Paul's Kitchens, later bought by Campbell's Soup, and at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home where his family grew.
Gorman loved the outdoors, cutting grass and working in his flowers, which he did for himself and neighbors. Gorman passed away on his way home from his other passion, "bingo", where he was among friends.
He was a member of Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore in Crisfield.
"God bless those who love everyone". That was Gorman.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy Tyler; nephew, Les Tyler and wife
Connie and their daughter, Erica Tyler. He is also survived by nephews, David Watson and John Watson; niece, Becky Watson Bonneville; several cousins; and his dog "Precious". Gorman also leaves behind a sea of friends who thought of Gorman as a relative.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2 PM at Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Rev. LeBron Palmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
