Gordon C. Christensen, 81, of Crisfield and formerly of Arlington, County, VA, died Monday, August 30, 2021 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Born in Eugene, Oregon on June 21, 1940, he was a son of the late Charles and Catherine Kenny Christensen.  He had been making his home in Crisfield permanently since 2003.

Mr. Christensen was a graduate of the University of Oregon and was health inspector for more than 33 years in Arlington County, Virginia.  He was also a United States Coast Guard veteran.

Very active in his community, he was trustee of the Crisfield Heritage Foundation for many years.  He also held memberships with the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion in Crisfield, the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044, and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Teri Christensen; two sons, Kevin Christensen and wife Shelley and Jason Christensen; one granddaughter, Erika Christensen; siblings, Nancy Leland, Kathleen Christensen, John Pat Christensen, and Mary Ann Davey; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2 PM.
