Georgianna Smith, 94, of Crisfield, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield September 15, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William and Georgia Ann Lawson Maddox. Her husband, Ewell Etheridge Smith, preceded her in death January 6, 1979.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of Crisfield High School.

She was a devoted member of Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield. She also worked at the MAC Center doing crafts. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and cooking.

She is survived by seven children, Mary Thomas of Delmar, Connie Eisenhaur of Salisbury, Nellie Hinman of Crisfield, Ewell Etheridge "Butch" Smith, Jr. and wife Dee of Baltimore, William T. "Ted" Smith and wife Gina of Crisfield, Emily Alexander and husband Terry of Pocomoke City, and Georgia Evans of Crisfield; a brother, William Maddox, Jr. of Baltimore; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Collins in 2000; and two sisters, Emily Williams and Nellie Rueben.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 1 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. Pastor Al Hinson will officiate. There will be no public viewing.
