Gayle L. Harris, 68, of Marion Station, died Sunday, October 15, 2023 at TidalHealth McCready Pavilion.

Born in Marion Station on October 20, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Horace Monroe Windsor and Nora Virginia Elliott Windsor.

She was a graduate of the Crisfield High School class of 1972 and worked for the Somerset County Board of Education for 41 years.

Gayle loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was Lancaster, PA.  She especially enjoyed the holidays, cardinals, angels, and doing her "search a words".  Most of all, she loved being with her family; she was the person that held everyone together.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Gregory Harris of Marion Station; her daughter, Jennifer Custis (Jason Cullen) of Marion Station; step-son, Daryl Harris of VA; grandchildren, Autumn Custis and Michael Krauss; step-grandchildren, Katelyn and Paige Harris; her brother, Jerry Windsor (Connie) of Crisfield; sisters-in-law, Denise Holloway (Gregory) of Chincoteague and Leah Harris of Ellendale, DE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nancy Forrestor, Margaret "Ellen" Winterroth, Phyllis Sterling, Donald Windsor, and William H. "Billy" Windsor.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Cullen will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
