Gary Mayhew Campbell, 54, of Horntown, VA and formerly of Gordon County, GA passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at home.
Born in Annapolis, MD on November 21, 1966, he was a son of the late John F. Campbell, Sr. and Shirley Mayhew Campbell.
A hard worker, he was an electrician for 36 years by trade, but his passion was anything to do with construction including carpentry and plumbing. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and crabbing. He enjoyed holidays and loved animals and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tammy Walston Campbell of Horntown, VA; siblings, John F. "Johnny" Campbell, Jr. and wife Sherrie of Federalsburg, MD, Gayle Bartholomew and husband John of Glen Burnie, MD, and Josie Lewis of Crownsville, MD; brother-in-law, Jay Walston of Crisfield; niece, Cassidy Staples of Severna Park, MD; nephew, Derrick Lewis of Colorado; aunt and uncle, Jean and Ed Koehler; and several great-nieces, one great-nephew, and several cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Campbell; and a brother-in-law, Donald "Buzz" Lewis.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kevin Wilson will officiate and interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
