Obituary

FULTON W. STERLING, 74, of Crisfield, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on September 19, 1934, he was a son of the late Fulton and Pauline Nelson Sterling.

He was a self-employed carpenter who could build anything with his hands and was very creative with his work. He also enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by four sons, Robert Sterling and Jerry Sterling and his wife, Carrie, all of Georgetown, Delaware, Richard Sterling of Upper Fairmount and Joseph Sterling of Delmar; three daughters, Robin Dean and her husband, Jerry, of McGaheysville, Virginia, and Paula Sterling and Catherine Gravenor, both of Delmar; three brothers, Larry Walston of Vinton, Virginia, and Nicky Sterling and Frankie Sterling, both of Crisfield; four sisters, Dixie Sterling of Snow Hill, Judi Webster of Deal Island, Marie Laird of Marion and Peggy Presto of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fulton Sterling and a sister, Ramona Green.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Crisfield Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate.
