Obituary

Fuller Leslie Dise, 86, of Tangier Island, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home.

Born on Tangier October 23, 1928, he was a son of the late Colson Andrew and Monnie Pruitt Dise.

A master electrician, he retired from ANEC after 30 years and also was a maintenance employee for Accomack County Schools retiring after 40 years.

He was a US Army veteran, a member of the Tangier VFW, and a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Thomas Dise; three daughters, Sharon Haynie and husband Mark of Tangier, June Crockett and husband Eddie of Onley, and Lynda Arai of Newport News; a sister, Marie Pruitt of Tangier; two brothers, Preston Dise and wife Norma and William Frank Dise and wife Dottie Ann, all of Tangier; six grandchildren, Andy Haynie and wife Amy of Crisfield, Paul Haynie and wife Jessica of San Antonio, Keith Crockett of Jacksonville, Florida, Kara Crockett of Onley, Marisa Arai of Newport News, and Alina Lopez of Newport News; two great-grandsons, Thomas and Conner Haynie of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Morgan.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. John Flood, Mr. Stickland Crockett and Mr. Andy Haynie will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 2 PM at Swain Memorial U. M. Church on Tangier. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 at the church. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
