Obituary

Frederick "Russell" Marshall, 70, of Crisfield, died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield July 12, 1951, he was a son of the late Fred and Hazel Bradshaw Marshall.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1969 and attended UMES and Salisbury University where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in business.  He was a florist and was owner and operator of a flower shop in Waldorf, MD.  He also worked at Sharper Florist in Waldorf for 10 years.

He attended Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion Station and was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #16 in Crisfield. He loved working in his yard and gardening but most of all he loved his fur baby doggie "Darcey".  They went everywhere together and he especially enjoyed taking her for rides in the car.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Evans; brother, Dallas Marshall (Gayle); sister-In-Law, Cindy Marshall; nephews and nieces, Troy Evans (Carla), Anita Evans, Jody Soukup, Storm Marshall, and Brittany Marshall (Larry); great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor Evans, Dylan Hill, Devan Soukup, Noah Soukup, Skylar Marshall, Autumn Marshall, and Sawyer Whitehead; and his beloved dog "Darcey" who was his child.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Todd and Margaret Marshall; his maternal grandparents, Newell Tolson and Audrey Bradshaw Brimer; his special friend, Tom Walker; brother, Phillip Marshall; brother-in-law, Muggsy Evans; sister-in-law, Laurie Marshall; and nephew, Kevin Soukup.

A memorial service officiated by Rev. Stephen S. Willing will be held at Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion Station on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Union United Methodist Church in Tylerton, MD or Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion Station, MD.
