Franklin Phillip "Frank" Morgan, 69, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke.
Born in Crisfield on May 29, 1948, he was a son of the late Barney Bayne and Sally Evelyn Dize Morgan.
A 1966 graduate of Crisfield High School, he was a retired Machine Operator and Foreman at Rubberset Corporation in Crisfield, where he worked from 1968-2011 until his retirement.
A dedicated member of his community, he was a 43-year life member of the Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department and served seven years as Fire Police. He was active in the Crisfield Little League for 15 years where he was umpire and scorekeeper, and he managed the score books and scoreboard for Crisfield High School basketball for 10 years. He also assisted the community with low cost tax preparation which was a service he enjoyed providing for 30+ years.
A lifelong member of the Crisfield Church of God, Frank loved the Lord and was a faithful believer. He truly exemplified the qualities of how we should live our lives through God's eyes.
Frank was an avid reader and sports fan, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family. He was a friend to everyone and he was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Kimberly Anne Morgan Richards of Anacortes, Washington and William James Morgan of Crisfield; a sister, Anne Windsor and husband Earl of Hebron, MD; his grandchildren, Madeline Richards (age 9), Abigail Richards, (age 6), Emily Richards, (age 5), and Jacob Richards, (age 4); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Royce Morgan, Reginald Morgan, David Morgan, and William Morgan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 2 PM at Crisfield Church of God where a viewing will be one hour prior. The Rev. John Thorne will officiate and interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
