FRANKLIN LEE "FRANKIE" HOLMES, JR., 52, of Crisfield, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at the home of his friend in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield October 19, 1957, he was a son of the late Franklin Lee Holmes, Sr. and Beatrice June Ward Holmes.

He was a waterman until he became disabled. He loved hunting and spending time with his friends. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #16 in Crisfield.

He is survived by his son, Derrick Charnock of Tangier, VA; his sister, Debbie Laird and her husband Tony of Crisfield; a nephew, Randy Swift and his wife Nicole of Salisbury; a great-niece, Allison Swift of Salisbury; three cousins, Jimmy "Jinx" Ward of Crisfield, Peggy Tyler of Salisbury, and Gina Smith of Annapolis; and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Stanley Cochrane American Legion Post # l6 in Crisfield.
