Frances L. Evans, 91, of Marion Station, died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her home.

Born in Crisfield January 8, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Dize Thornton.  Her husband of 70 years, Vernon D. Evans, preceded her in death on March 28, 2016.

She was a homemaker and a 1946 graduate of Crisfield High School.  Mrs. Evans was a member of the former Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Crisfield and was a talented quilter.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Smith and husband Duane of Marion Station and Dale Edward Evans of Bulls Gap, Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Richard Scott of Crisfield; three grandchildren, Eric Evans of Crisfield, Renee Evans of Delmar, DE, and Leah Jerez of Crisfield; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Dora Scott.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.  Rev. Terry Riggin will officiate.
