Flora Jane Pruitt Tawes, 82, of Crisfield, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born on Tangier Island, VA October 11, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Edward Lee and Leola Dise Pruitt.  Her husband, Linwood James Tawes, died May 19, 2011.

A homemaker, she was a member Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Tangier in her younger years, and the Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Crisfield most recently.  She loved cooking, family gatherings, doting on her grandchildren, and her grandcat "Zoey".

She is survived by her children, Debbie Peregrine of Crisfield, Eddie Tawes and wife Jain of Goldsboro, MD, Linda Brown and husband Sam of Parksley, VA, and Velma McIntyre and husband Jerry of Salisbury; grandchildren, Sherri East, Jill Tyler and husband Morgan, Dietrich Schleif, Jessica Granroth and husband Eric, Jaime McIntyre and wife Jonna, and Jerry McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Jack, Robert, Christian, Caitlyn, John Aiden, Django, Andy, Destiny, Gabriel, Mariah, Jerry, Jeremy, and Faith; sister-in-law, Alice Pruitt of Salisbury; special family friend and caregiver, Diane Nasuro of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sidney Pruitt; her sister, Velma Walters Parks; and a great-granddaughter, Seraphina.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Services will be officiated by Rev Terry Riggin,  Rev. Bob Daniels, and Lay Pastor Donna Lynch.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
