Flora Eder, 95, of Crisfield, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield March 25, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Edward R. and Geneva Pruitt Cox. She graduated from Crisfield High School and moved to Baltimore where she met her husband, Alexander Eder. When he died, she moved back to her home in Crisfield.
Mrs. Eder's greatest joy in life was taking care of kids; she helped raise many children for many years and cherished every minute of it. She was also faithfully devoted to the Crisfield Church of God.
She is survived by a niece, Mary Hampel of Corpus Christi, TX; two nephews, Charles and John Cullen, both of Crisfield; and three great-nephews, Wade Hampel of Corpus Christi, Gary Cullen of Crisfield and Kris Cullen formerly of Crisfield.
Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Cullen and Evelyn Maddux.
A graveside funeral service and interment will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 2 PM at Mariners Church Cemetery in Crisfield.
