EVA R. MOORE, 95, of Crisfield, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home where she had been a resident for almost four years.

Born in Crisfield on January 23, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Edward "Ned" and Marie Matthews Riggin. Her husband, H. Stanley Moore, died in 1990.

She was a sales lady and buyer for Scher's for many years.

She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Crisfield where she was Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved teaching children.

In the Bible, God said, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." Eva was that servant. She dedicated her life to His church, His people, and His work. Now she sits at His feet, and will live forever in His glory. Beloved by her family, friends, and a host of others, after 95 remarkable years, she has achieved her goal.

She is survived by two children, Stanley T. "Terry" Moore of Laurel, Delaware and Anna Lewis of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Joseph Moore of Salisbury, Amanda Lingo of Blades, Delaware, Matthew Moore of West Palm Beach, Florida and Stephanie Lewis of Crisfield; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Caroline Pasquith, Emily Moore, Frances Tawes, and Emma Hurley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church in Crisfield where friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 PM. Dr. Warren Burnham and Rev. Tad Maroon will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
