Eva Maxine Evans, 72, of Ewell, Smith Island, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Princess Anne.
Born in Crisfield September 15, 1943 and raised on Smith Island, she was the daughter of the late Watson and Elizabeth Harrison Marshall.
A Crisfield High School graduate of 1961, she was Postmaster of Ewell Post Office working 37 years before her retirement in 2012.
She was a member of Ewell United Methodist Church where she was active in the UMW and put on the annual Christmas Pageant for several years. She was also a member of the Ewell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved to read, cook for her family and friends, and enjoyed crocheting Afghans for loved ones. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bunky Evans of Ewell; two daughters, Natalie Blizzard and husband Jimmy of Crisfield and Ruthie Evans of Princess Anne; three grandchildren, Evie Morvillo and husband John of Crisfield, Jamie Blizzard and wife Lenora of Indian Head, MD and Jason Blizzard and wife Amber of Jacksonville, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Robbie and Ryan Morvillo, Anastasia and Jace Blizzard, Abby and Aria Blizzard, Arielle Engelking, and Aiden Haynes; one great-great-grandson, Declan Edwards; brothers, Ed Marshall and wife Sharon of Henderson, Nevada and the late Eugene Marshall and his wife Christine Marshall of Ewell; and many nieces, nephews, special cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home from 10-11 AM.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2 PM at Ewell U. M. Church where another viewing will be one hour prior. The Rev. Rick Edmund will officiate. Interment will follow in Ewell Church Cemetery.
