Eugene David Olah, USCG (RET), 75, of Crisfield, died Monday, August 27, 2018 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born in Chesapeake, VA March 22, 1943, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Grace Edna Curling Olah. His wife, Linda Lynette Abbott Olah, preceded him in death February 9, 2018.
He was a machinist in the US Coast Guard serving 25 years until his retirement. He also worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchen and Rubberset Corp.
He was a member of Living Hope Ministries in Marion Station and the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion in Crisfield. He loved fishing and traveling and he especially loved Alaska and Hawaii.
He is survived by two daughters, Gena Denice Swift/Lee Nance of Selbyville, DE and Traci Lynette Wigglesworth and husband Mike of Delmar, DE; four grandchildren, Joscelyne Renee Swift and Colbi Lynn Sayre and husband Justin, all of Marion, Amy Chandler Wigglesworth and fiancé Cody Riemenschneider of Orlando, FL, and David Michael Wigglesworth of Delmar, DE; great-grandson, Coulson Travis Sayre; brothers and sisters, Robert Olah and wife Marie, Nicholas Olah and wife Carolyn, Elizabeth Scarborough and husband Fred, Arlene Ferrell, Richard Olah and wife Elaine, Linda Yount and husband Ralph, Margaret Lanier and husband Sam, and Tommy Olah and wife Cheryl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2 PM at Living Hope Ministries Church in Marion where a viewing will be one hour prior. Rev. LeBron Palmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
