Obituary

ERMA LOUISE TYLER, 69, of Crisfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Crisfield on June 3, 1938, she was a daughter of the late James and Wilhelmina Hinman Holland.

A graduate of Crisfield High School's class of 1956, she was a retired branch manager for the former Peninsula Bank in Marion Station.

She was a faithful member of the Crisfield Church of God where she was treasurer for many years. She also enjoyed camping with the Florida Rv'ers and cooking. She was extremely devoted to her husband, William C. "Billy C." Tyler, and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2007. Her entire life was her family.

She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, William C. "Billy C." Tyler of Crisfield; three children, Anita Huffines and her husband Sean of Salisbury, Billy C. Tyler, III of Crisfield and Chris Tyler and his wife Traci of Crisfield; five grandchildren, Keith Thompson and his wife Heather of Marion Station, Jessica Alexander and her husband Dustin of Florida, Chelsea Tyler of Marion Station, David Barone of Crisfield and Cody Tyler of Crisfield; two great-great-grandsons, Daniel Ryon Thompson and Tyler Alexander; one brother, Bobby Holland and his wife Carole of Crisfield; one sister, Patti Blades and her husband Jim of Pocomoke City; sisters-in-law, Darlene Tyler and her husband Allen of Crisfield and Betty Bozman of Princess Anne; her special friend, Connie Watson of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Holland.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 2007 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God. The Rev. Philip Morris will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. Greg Cox. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
