Elsie Lee Cooper, 82, of Crisfield, passed away at her home surrounded by her children on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Born in Crisfield on February 26, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Anne Elizabeth Somers Baumeister and Ken Baumeister and Lewis M. “Louie” Culbertson and Virginia Culbertson.
Elsie was a homemaker and worked in the seafood industry for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, trying her luck at the slots, shopping at Boscov’s, dancing, and babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family deeply and cherished her pets, including her dogs Bella and Lucy, and her cats. She was especially overjoyed to welcome six great-grandchildren born recently within one year, who lit up her life even more.
She is survived by her children, William “Billy” Harrison, Michael “Mushy” Harrison/Shelley, Crystal Swift/JD, Jeffrey “Buck” Harrison/Paula, all of Crisfield, Lori Harrison/Ray of Marion, and Katie Pruitt/Wayne and Amanda Cauble/Rick, all of Crisfield; her step-son, Eddie Cooper/Andrea of Tangier; siblings, Lewis Culbertson, Jr./Pat of Crisfield, Sharon Campbell/Jimmy of West Virginia, Wayne Culbertson/Janet of Princess Anne, and Patti Laird/Larry and Nicci Evans/Greg, all of Crisfield; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Mark Harrison; her second husband, Johnnie Lee Cooper; a step-son, Johnny Cooper, Jr.; her great-grandson, Jayce Swift; her baby sister, Sharon Culbertson; and her best friend, Bobbie Jean Somers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Michael Vaughan will officiate the service and interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
