Elmer Rufus "Mike" Messick, 82, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield, died Saturday August 6, 2022 at the home of his niece, Barbara Klempner.

Born in Crisfield o November 11, 1939, he was a son of the late John and Hattie Nelson Messick.  He worked at Messick Ice Plant in his younger years and enjoyed gardening.  He also attended Crisfield Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by a sister, Hattie "Cookie" Newby of VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his significant other, Frances Paul; and his brothers and sisters, Jerry Messick, Ethel Travers, Beatrice Harris, William Messick, John Riley Messick, Jeanie Coggin, and Jackie Kidd.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate.  Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
