Ella Mae Galloway, 87, of Elizabethtown, PA and formerly of Crisfield and Salisbury, MD, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

Born in Crisfield, MD on June 25, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Seth Galloway and Ada Mae Trammell Schultz.

A registered nurse since 1977, she obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing and an Associate's Degree in Addictions Counseling from Wor-Wic Community College.  She also attended the University of West Virginia and Salisbury State University. She retired from Masonic Village as a nurse manager in Elizabethtown.  She previously worked at Philhaven Hospital in Mt Gretna, PA, PGH (TidalHealth Peninsula Regional) in Salisbury, and also held positions over the years in Dorchester and Anne Arundel Hospitals.

Ella was a member of the LCBC (Lives Changed By Christ) Church in Manheim, PA.  Very devoted to helping the homeless in her community, she enjoyed volunteering in food pantries and working in soup kitchens. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Although her adventures took her to many different places, she always considered Crisfield "home."

She is survived by her children, Michael Schultz (Wanda), Kenneth Schultz (Tina), David Schultz, Steven Schultz (Paula), Teresa King (Paul), Lynn Fluharty (Frank), and Jessica Garcia (Jose); sisters, Carol Rodriguez and Francine Hartline (James); 20 grandchildren, Candace Flickinger, Matthew Ennis, Kendra Schultz, Kristen Schultz, Heather Schultz, Amber Schultz, Kylie Schultz, Steven Schultz, Katie Schultz, Michael Schultz, Jr., Jerry Schultz, Mindy Mitchell, Shaira Schultz, Michael Scott McMann, Andrew King, Samantha King, Isabella Garcia, Lucas Garcia, Sarah Garcia, and Nicolas Garcia; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many colleagues and friends she met over the years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Schultz; and her grandson Ernest McMann.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2 PM the Crisfield Cemetery, Somerset and Chesapeake Avenues, Crisfield, MD.
