Elizabeth "Bette Rae" McDorman Crockett, 95, of Crisfield, died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield on June 27, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John and Jane Sterling McDorman.  Her husband, Edward Lewis Crockett, preceded her in death.

A homemaker, she was the last surviving member of Crisfield High School's class of 1943.  She also attended Wor-Wic Community College in the late 1970's and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Crockett Dryden; her son, Edward Sterling Crockett; her grandson, Alan "Buddy" Dryden, Jr.; her niece, Lottie McDorman and her son Charles W. McDorman, III and his family; her cousins, Esther, Royce Ann, Donna, Keith and their families; her friends, Laura Davis Lori Charnick, Chris Ward, Connie Windsor, Rosanne and Ackie Nelson, and the staff of Tawes Nursing Home; and her special friends, Phyllis Wise and Donnie Chelton.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles E. McDorman and Lewis McDorman; her nephew, Charles W. McDorman, II; and her son-in-law, Alan Dryden.

A graveside remembrance for family and friends will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield followed by a meal at Asbury Church at 12 Noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home Activities Fund, 201 Hall Highway, Crisfield, MD 21817.
