ELIZABETH E. "AUNT BETTY" HARRIS, 85, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on April 7, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mamie Ann Somers Walston.

She was a seamstress at the former Crisfield Cap Factory and was a dispatcher for the former Charlie's Cab in Crisfield.

A member of Liberty Rock Church in Crisfield, she was an extensive traveler, she lived in Nevada, New Mexico, and California, but always called Crisfield her home. She loved reading her Bible, watching game shows on TV, fishing, and crocheting.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Eddie Dean Martin, Charles Bruce Martin, Linda Sue Mister, Paul Martin, Shirley Crockett, and Michael Nasuro, all of Crisfield, Kathy Byrd of Parsonsburg, Eddie Lawson of Berlin, Stevie Lewis of Salisbury, and Tommy Smith of Virginia; her special friends, Donna Sterling and Pam Tyler, both of Crisfield; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; a host of fiends; and several special caregivers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harris; her sisters, Martha Jane Crockett, Ida Lee Martin, Ruth Smith and Myra Nasuro; her brothers-in-law, Charlie Martin, Floyd Crockett, Hyden Smith and Michael Nasuro; and two nieces, Rosemary Taylor and Ruth Ellen Cullen.

Graveside memorial services and urn interment will be held Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. The Rev. Nolan Ford will officiate.
