Obituary

Eileen Marie Tull, 93, of Salisbury, went to Heaven on March 10, 2024 from her home.

She was born in Crisfield on January 21, 1931 and raised on Tylerton, Smith Island, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Thelma Smith Marshall. She was very proud of her Smith Island Heritage.  Her husband of 57 years, Norwood Harvey Tull, preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.

Eileen served as Postmaster in Girdletree, and filled in as Postmaster for many other Post Offices. She had great work ethic, and worked alongside her husband, Norwood, for many years.

She was a Christian and loved her church and serving her Jesus. She sang alto in the Smith Island Ladies Quartet with her great friends Mina Laird, Hazel Marshall, and Khaki Bradshaw. They recorded three albums and two albums with the Men's Quartet.

Eileen was a wonderful cook as her family and friends tasted first hand and absolutely agreed. She won several Crab Derby cooking contests. She also published two cookbooks and donated the profits to her church. She loved her entire family, church family, and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne Wolfe and husband Ed; sister, Millie Parks and husband Larry; grandchildren, Lisa Crabb and husband Kerry, Susan Bradshaw, Jody Tull and wife Lisa, Melissa Smith, and Daniel Corbin and wife Michelle; special nephew, Ted Evans and wife Margie; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Tull; and many great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Norwood "Gary" Tull; a daughter, Phyllis J. Tull; and brothers, Roy Marshall, Earl Marshall, Haynie Marshall, and Newman Marshall.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Princess Anne at 1 PM with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastors Jamie DeVaughn and Joel Beiler will officiate and interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjudes.com/donatenow.
