Obituary

Edward Franklin Parks, surrounded by family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 10, 2024 from Alice B. Tawes Nursing Home.

"Eddie" was born July 23, 1968, to "Son" and Violet Parks. He grew up on Tangier Island. He served in the Coast Guard for 4 years.

Eddie is survived by his two sons, Jacob Parks (Jasmine) of Hurricane, Utah, and Noah Parks of Prescott, Arizona; three brothers, Chuck Parks and William Parks, both of Tangier, and Richie Parks of Tennessee; a granddaughter, Stella Parks; several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Eddie was predeceased by his parents Charles W. Parks, Jr. "Son", and Violet Jane Parks.

Eddie loved the Lord and was ready to go home. He had a gentle way about him and always saw the positive side of things, even when his body was filled with pain.

"Jesus said…"I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die." John 11:25-26

A memorial service will be held at Swain Memorial Church on Tangier Island at a later date.
