Edward Royal Gillespie, 59, of Crisfield, died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

He was born in Baltimore City on October 18, 1964 and was a son of the late Robert Wesley Gillespie, Jr. and Connie Tushaw.

He was former crew manager for Global Decorators.  In Crisfield, he attended Immanuel U. M. Church and he enjoyed being on the water crabbing and fishing.  He liked shopping for jewelry and clothing, going to family cookouts and listening to his music really loud.  His favorite song was "One More Time" by Timmy T.  He loved life.

Most of all he loved his family! He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family members, and his former wife, Cynthia, who he thought the world of.

He is survived by his step-mother, Brenda Gail Price of Baltimore City; his former wife, Cynthia Bell Potter of Crisfield; three children, Edward William Gillespie of Crisfield, Brian Gillespie of Federalsburg, and Stacy Gillespie of Crisfield; two brothers, Bobby and Patrick Gillespie; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Gillespie, Abygail Gillespie, Jacob Gillespie, Edward William Gillespie, Jr., M.J. Gillespie, Robert Gillespie, Albert, and Riley; his best friend, Howard Greenhawk; his pet dog, "GaGa"; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 5 PM at Immanuel U. M. Church, 206 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.  Rev. Jim Riley will officiate.
