Edward N. "Ed" Schreiber, 80, of Crisfield and formerly of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD.

He was born in Springfield, PA on November 26, 1932, a son of the late Harry V. and Dorothy R. Ives Schreiber. He had been making his home in Crisfield for the past 14 years.

He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War era, and was a retired production manager for electronics manufacturer, Technitrol, in Philadelphia. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife of almost 44 years, Edythe R. Atwood Schreiber of Crisfield; eight children, Linda Freede and Ricky Schreiber both of Houston, TX, Henry Buchy of Cape May, NJ, Sharon Mann of Arizona, Carol Flood of Newark, DE, Laurie Gilbert of Prospect Park, PA, Sean Schreiber of Jobstown, NJ, and Eric Schreiber of Prospect Park, PA; two brothers, Richard Schreiber of Drexel Hill, PA and Carl Schreiber of North Carolina; one sister, Mary Ann Hamilton of Glen Olden, PA; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Following cremation, a private scattering ceremony will be held at a later date.
