Earl E. Howard. 91, of Marion, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born near Rehobeth on July 25, 1920, he was a son of the late Asbury and Cecil Henderson Howard.

He was a retired poultry farmer, member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, and member of the Somerset County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Griffin Howard of Marion; two children, Leonard "Buddy" Howard and Barbara Culbertson, both of Marion; four grandchildren, Crystal Milliner of Crisfield, Jodi Howard and Derik Mister of Marion, Danny Culbertson of Marion, and Stephanie Howard of Crisfield; six great-grandchildren, Dustin and Angelina Milliner, Miss Bella Greene, Darin and Grant Mister, and Kyle Lewis; a sister-in-law, Neva Rae Howard of Marion; and nieces and nephews, Ellen and John Dize, Joyce and Russell Morgan, and Donnie Howard, all of Crisfield; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Elliott Howard in 1971; and his brother, Arthur L. Howard in 2009.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. The Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate.
