Obituary

DOROTHY MADDOX MILLINER, 77, of Crisfield and formerly of Accomack County, Virginia, died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at her home. She had been making her home in Crisfield for the past 52 years.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 27, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Deason Maddox. Her husband of 54 years, Herbert James Milliner died on May 3, 2004.

A quality control employee of the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchens in Crisfield, Mrs. Milliner was a member of the First Baptist Church, also in Crisfield. She was very devoted to her family and dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening when she was able.

She is survived by four children, Terry Sue Lewis and Tim Milliner and his wife Sheila, all of Crisfield, Jim Milliner and his wife Pat of Westover and Russell Milliner of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Dina Wheatley, Jamie Milliner and his wife Margaret, Doug Lewis, Michael Milliner and his wife Crystal, Bryan Sterling and Travis Lewis; seven great-grandchildren, Josh Milliner, Dustin Milliner, C.J. Lewis, McKinse Lewis, Angelina Milliner, Kyle Lewis, and Adam Milliner; one sister, Thelma Budd of Cambridge, Maryland; one brother, Clyde Maddox of Foley, Alabama; one aunt, Mildred Golden of Centerville, Ohio; one uncle, Harold Deason of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Ryan Milliner; a sister, Gladys Mims; and two brothers, Raymond and Pete Maddox.

Friends may call Sunday, February 4, 2007 from 7-9 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A graveside funeral service and interment will be held Monday, February 5, 2007 at 11 AM at Parksley Cemetery in Parksley, Virginia. The Rev. Tim Bortner will officiate.
