DOROTHY BELL DRYDEN, 89, of Rehobeth, MD died Monday, January 24, 2011 at the home of her son.

Born in Rehobeth on September 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Sidney and Elizabeth Lewis Bell. Her husband, Harry Joseph Dryden, died in 1966.

She was a self-employed farmer and a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Harry Joseph Dryden, Jr. of Rehobeth; a daughter, Joyce Dryden Johnson of Salisbury; a sister, Mary Bell Adams of Rehobeth; four grandchildren, Josie Dryden, Jessica Dryden, Mark Johnson and Michael Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Gavin Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Preston Bell, William Bell, Lewis Bell, Howard Bell, Benny Bell, and Ralph Bell.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2 PM at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The Rev. David Parke will officiate. There will be no viewing.
