Obituary

Doris Stant Justice, 70, of Annapolis and formerly of Crisfield, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Born in Crisfield, November 7, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Winnie Bell Stant. Her husband of 47 years, George William "Billy" Justice, preceded her in death on February 5, 2013.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1960, Doris was editor of her senior class yearbook and received the commercial award at graduation. She attended St. Mary's College in Leonardtown, Maryland. During her years in Crisfield, she was secretary for Tull and Price Insurance Company and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Marion, MD. For the past 30 years she served as the clerk for Property Tax and Assessment Division for Anne Arundel County.

For fourteen years Doris has lovingly cared for her granddaughter, Shelby Tribull, who was injured in an accident in 1999.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy Bankert and her husband, Randy, of Gettysburg, PA, and Beth Tribull and her husband, Ed, of Annapolis, MD; a son, Michael Justice and his wife, Jenna, of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren, Shelby, Jenna, and Jacob Tribull, Ava and Eric Bankert, and Cordelia and David Justice; a sister, Susan Phoebus of Crisfield; two sisters-in-law, Diane Chaffey and her husband, Billy, and Mary Ann Sterling and her husband, Earl; two nephews, John Phoebus of Crisfield and Scott Sterling of Texas; and two nieces, Tammy Truitt and Quinna Marshall, both of Marion.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin L. Stant, Jr.; and a nephew, Earl "Little Earl" Sterling, III.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Robert Daniels will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
