Doris Virginia Howard, 89, of Marion, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Pocomoke on July 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Elliott and Ruth Dryden Griffin. Her husband, Earl Edward Howard, died August 8, 2011.
A homemaker and a farmer, she was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flowers, being outside, "crusin on the cutter", gardening and going to yard sales.
She is survived by two children, Leonard "Buddy" Howard and Barbara Culbertson, both of Marion; four grandchildren, Jodi Howard, Stephanie Howard, Crystal Milliner, and Danny Culbertson; six great-grandchildren, Darin, Grant, Kyle, Dustin, Angelina, and Isabella; three sisters, Marie Bennett and husband Levin, Frances Jones, and Phyllis Thomas; a sister-in-law, Neva Rae Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Elliott Earl Howard in 1971; a brother, Norman Griffin; and a sister, Geraldine Pusey.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 5 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate.
