Obituary

Doris Lee Chelton, 91, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield March 14, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Handy Carmine and Myrtle Ann Byrd Carmine. Her husband, Ivan Douglas Chelton died in December of 1977.

A homemaker, she was a member of Mariners United Methodist Church, and in her younger years was active in Quindocqua United Methodist Church. She had many hobbies and loved crafting.

She is survived by a son, Kevin Guy Chelton and his companion Debbie Dickerson of Salisbury; two granddaughters, Melissa Ann Chelton and her boyfriend Mitchel Marriner of Salisbury and Jessica Hope Cook and her husband Chuck of Salisbury; six great-grandchildren, Peyton Marie Cline, Reagan Hope Cline, Reese Anne Cline, Aidan Richard Cook, Ryan Elizabeth Cook, and Miles Everett Cook; two sisters-in-law, Naomi Thomas Carmine and Carolyn Carmine, both of Crisfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Denise Chelton; her sister, Nellie Ann Todd; and her brothers, Buddy Carmine, Arthur Carmine, and Jessie Carmine.

Memorial services will be Monday, April 4, 2016 at 7 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Steve Willing will officiate. Urn interment will be private in St. Paul's Cemetery.
