DORIS FAYE BALDERSON, 74, of Crisfield, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.

Born in Marion Station on June 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Orland "Ike" Marshall and Margaret Ward Morrison.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1955, she was a machine operator at the former Carvel Hall Cutlery in Crisfield, and later, worked at Marion Pharmacy.

She was a "people person" who was a caregiver and chauffeur to many. She also enjoyed gardening when she was able and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby Balderson of Crisfield; her daughter, Valerie Howard and her husband Tim of Crisfield; two sisters, Pat Somers and Jean Blades of Crisfield; a brother, Orland "Buck" Marshall, Jr. of California; brother-in-law, Bill Balderson and his wife Betty of Crisfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Monique Welch, who was like a daughter to her, and her son, Billy C. Marsh, of Crisfield.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Lee Balderson on May 11, 1979.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Bob Daniels and Eddie Daniels will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. There will be no public viewing however the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested to be sent to Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
