Doris Lee Baker, 89, of Crisfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at her home.

Born in Crisfield on June 7, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Cyril Clay and Lola Mae Dize Crockett. Her first husband, William Joseph Matthews, preceded her in death in 1978 and her second husband, Robert Peter Baker preceded her in death in 1995.

A 1949 graduate of Crisfield High School, she was retired from Western Electric in Baltimore after 26 years.

Doris attended Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore in Marion when she was able and enjoyed crafts, wood crafting, needlework, and painting.

She is survived by her son, David Matthews and wife Judy of Baltimore; grandchildren, Theresa Brulinski and husband Dave, Dave Matthews and wife Tracy, Cara Roberts and husband Brent, and Melony Heck and husband David; great-grandchildren, Megan Brulinski, Lauren Brulinski, Matthew Brulinski, Aaliyah Matthews, Devin Matthews, Mason Roberts, and Ava Roberts; sister, Jeannie Thomas; daughter-in-law, Cathy Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her first husband, second husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Matthews in 2016; and her siblings, Joyce Dize, Anna Brittingham, Fay Ward, and Cyril Crockett, Jr.

Memorial services officiated by Pastor LeBron Palmer will be held at Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2 PM. An urn interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
