Doris Marie Adkins, 88, of Westover, MD, died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born on Tangier Island, VA, on November 1, 1935, she was the only child of Willis and Stella Parks Crockett.

She was a retired machine operator at Rubberset Corporation in Crisfield for many years. After her retirement she was a caretaker for the elderly.

She attended Crisfield Wesleyan Church, and she enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, picking crabs, and she loved flowers and working in her yard.

She is survived by three children, Keith Pruitt, Diana Parks and husband Matt, and Donna Milliner; daughter-in-law, Carol Pruitt; her best friend for many years, Shannon Eskridge Brimer; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William R. Pruitt; her second, husband, Clarence Adkins; and three children, Deborah Pruitt Cusimano, Raymond Pruitt, and Darlene Ward.

Memorial services will be at a later date.
