DONNIE RALPH STERLING, 65, of Crisfield, died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at his home.

Born in Crisfield on November 8, 1941, he was a son of the late Ralph and Oleana Tawes Sterling.

A United States Navy veteran, he was a self-employed carpenter for 23 years, and was a retired maintenance supervisor for the State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources at Janes Island State Park in Crisfield.

He was a member of the Crisfield Church of God, AARP and Peninsula Partners.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Marilyn Mallurca Sterling of Crisfield; two children, Kim Davis and Kevin Sterling, both of Crisfield; one brother, George Christopher Sterling of Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Lindsay Heath and Kelsey Sterling, all of Crisfield; his special friend, Anthony Dixon of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rae Celia Hinman.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 2 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. The Rev. Philip Morris will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. There will be a procession to the graveside.
