Obituary
Donald Lee Swift, 88, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at McCready Memorial Hospital.
Born in Crisfield November 23, 1927, he was a son of the late Robert and Vernetta Cox Swift. His wife, Mary Virginia Hinman Swift died November 13, 2006.
He worked for the Somerset County Roads Dept. and was a self employed landscaper. He enjoyed working, gardening, and helping others.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Terry Troxell, Darlene Hall, Alvinia Lynn Justice, Jerry Swift and Harold Tandy; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie L. Swift on September 28, 2012; a brother, George Swift; and two sisters, Frances Johnson and Mabel Dryden.
A graveside funeral service and interment will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 3 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park. The Rev. Jim Riley will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tawes Nursing Home, 201 Hall Highway; of Lower Somerset CountyAmbulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406; both Crisfield, MD 21817.
