Donald Carlisle Evans, Jr., 72, of Crisfield, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home.

Born in Baltimore March 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Donald Carlisle Evans, Sr. and Lillian Cora Bailes Evans.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1965 and obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Salisbury State University.  He was retired health inspector with the State of Maryland Department of Health in Somerset County working many years.

He enjoyed working on automobiles, collecting things, going to auction sales, boating, and was an avid history buff.

He is survived by his son, Erik L. Evans/J.D. of Washington, DC; his brother, Thomas B. Evans/Debbie of Delmar, DE; his sister, Mary Anne Johnson/James of Salisbury; nieces, Andrea Minerva/Brian of Salisbury, Lauren Barnes/Kevin of Cambridge, and Kelsey Johnson/Dylan Brooks of Salisbury; and his special friend, Wayne Ward of Crisfield.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
