Obituary
DOLORES H. NELSON, 81, of Boca Raton, Florida and formerly of Crisfield died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at her home in Boca Raton.
Born in Crisfield on December 12, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mable Sterling Helsby. Her husband, J. Kenneth Nelson died October 16, 1999. She had been making her home in Florida since 1968.
A Crisfield High School graduate of the class of 1943, Mrs. Nelson was a retired accountant and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Jay Nelson of Costa Rica; her sister, Joy Fay Tyler and husband Calvin of Salisbury; and two nephews, Gregory Tyler and Gary Tyler, both of Salisbury.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved step-mother, Mildred Sterling Helsby, and her brother, Harry Helsby, Jr.
Cremation followed her death. A graveside memorial service and interment will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 3 PM at Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield with the Rev. Terry Riggin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Evangelical Wesleyan Church, c/o Rev. Terry Riggin, 1121B S. Division Street, Salisbury, Maryland 21804.
