Dennis Lee Hitchcock, 64, of Salisbury, MD, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on May 5, 1950, he was a son of the late Eber H. and Dulcie Wilkinson Hitchcock. He was a pharmacist for Rite Aid in Laurel, DE.
He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon. After serving in the US Army, he graduated from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and was a member of the American Pharmacist Association.
Dennis loved fishing, rock hunting, boating, exploring, hiking, and above all, he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Frances E. Hitchcock; three daughters, Jennifer Hitchcock Mrohs and her husband Robbie of Crisfield, Rebecca Hitchcock Haifley and her husband David, and Emily Hitchcock all of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Anabelle and Theron Mrohs; one sister, Alice Colfer of Mt. Pleasant, PA; two brothers, Orval Hitchcock and his wife Gerilon of Tennessee, and Kenneth Hitchcock and his wife Sandy of Mt. Pleasant, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan Alexander Hitchcock-Haifley.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Living Stones Church, 31695 Winterplace Parkway, Salisbury, MD at 2:00 PM where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army. Rev. Dr. William Warren will officiate.
