Deborah Ann "Debbie" Laird, 70, of Crisfield, died Saturday, October 19, 2024 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Crisfield on December 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Frank and June Ward Holmes.

She attended Crisfield High School and worked at the former McCready Hospital for over 40 years.  She worked in numerous positions over the years and retired as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard when she was able but most of all she loved spending time with her family.  She loved being a grandmother and adored her two granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tony B. Laird of Crisfield; her son, Randy Swift and wife Nicole of Showell, MD; two granddaughters, Allison Swift and Paige Swift of Showell; cousins, Peggy Tyler, Gina Ward Smith, Michelle Davis, Jimmy "Jinx" Ward, and their families; and brothers-in-law, Terry Laird and Larry Laird and wife Marge.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Holmes; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 12 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be from 11-12.  Rev. Stephen S. Willing will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
