Deborah E. Ashby, 65, of Crisfield, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home. Formerly of Baltimore she has been a resident here since 2012.

Born in Riverdale, MD she was the daughter of the late Edward Welch and Mary Ann Dyes Welch. She was a retired nurses assistant.

Deborah volunteered at the McCready Health and the Corbin Library in Crisfield.

Surviving is her husband, Daniel E. Ashby, two sons, Daniel E. Ashby, Jr. of Bel Air, MD, David Ashby of Crisfield, two daughters, Michelle (Buzz) Phillips of Price, MD and Trisha (Scott) Orend of Coco Beach, FL. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Welch.

Private services will be held at a later date.
